Distrigaz Nord privatization and changing the major shareholder lead to reorganization of  E.ON`s  Gaz România IT strategy. The implementation by Romsys of the  SAP solution for Utilities, is a premiere on the Romanian  market given its strategic importance for the main national gas supplier in Romania.

The solution includes four SAP modules such as: Core R/3 - financial, logistics, IS-Utilities - invoicing, receipts/customers contracts, administration registers, work commands, services and customers relations, data migration, Human Resources, Business Warehouse for Utilities.

The new IT solution has been  implemented in four pilot locations (Mures, Harghita, Cluj and Bistrita), simultaneously with the staff and business reorganization in E.ON Gaz Romania, after its privatization. On one hand the solution ensures the compliance with the current rules and regulations and with E.ON group internal standards and while it also splits the activity between Supply and Distribution following the European reglementations.

"E.ON Ruhrgas has come in Romania as a long term investor. It is mandatory to invest in the IT sector and harmonize the system with E.ON European standards. It was difficult for us to choose the company to work with for implementing this system, but Romsys professional work during the first stage of the  solution development, proved that we took a very good decision, Romsys specialists reaching our high expectations and standards", has mentioned Frank  Hajdinjak, Executive Director E.ON Gaz Romania.

The solution implemented by Romsys stands to bring  competitive advantages for E.ON Gaz Romania, harmonizing IT strategy with the business general strategy, reinforcing internal control over the quality of all activities, avoiding double data insertion, reducing the amount of errors and increasing work productivity. Last but not the least, the solution allows information to be centralized at the group level, and the analysis of data stocked by means of Business Warehouse for Utilities creates a unique and reliable data base for management decisions.

"Being choosed from several companies to implement this project represents the acknowledgement of more than 13 years experience in the sector of complex Romanian IT&C solutions. Besides this pride, the complex and unique project has represented a challenge for our team who did the best to accomplish it in excellent conditions. The best testimony is the successfully implementation of the pilot Projects on Utilities taking into account the difficult period when E.ON Ruhrgas has taken over Distrigaz Nord," stated Mr. Florian Semen, Romsys General Manager.
