The cooperation between Romsys and Marius Nasta Institute has started in 2004 and it has continued with new stages that are parts of enhancement process of medical system for the surveillance of tuberculosis in Romania

Romsys, leader on Romanian IT&C market, contributed to the enhancement of the system for the surveillance of tuberculosis, during the first stage, by creating a specialized soft that allows even the most outlaying sanitary units to provide data and, in the same time, to have access to the analyses results. Thus, at the Central Unit of the National Program of Tuberculosis Control, 3.000.000 data are annually stocked into an electronic database (about 100 data for every patient), useful not only for taking the most suitable epidemiological measures but also for making reports for the international authorized institutes.

The cooperation between Romsys and Marius Nasta Institute has continued in 2005 with the program of implementation at national level. The information system was made operational in 200 locations in record time. Romsys has also provided and installed IT equipments, when it was necessary. The project began with testing the pilot stage that included the six sectors in Bucharest, the counties Calarasi and Giurgiu and continued with the installation at national level in a sequential approach of all regions through Romys branches.

"In the unrolling of this ambitious program we needed a powerful partner, with technical competencies, expertise and work experience under unusual conditions at national level. Romsys proved to be that partner we needed." stated prof. dr. Ioan Paul STOICESCU, the General Manager of the Institute.

At the success of this partnership equally contributed the excellent communication between Romsys specialists and the end users, especially taking into account the national dimension of the project.

The European Commission has recently awarded Romsys with the "Recognised eHealth Reference Site across Europe" status that certifies the quality of Romsys experts involved in the implementation of eHealth management solutions.

Romsys, founded in 1993 as 100% private company, is the first ICT Romanian company certified ISO 9001 since 1996. Romsys is praised for the quality of services offered to their customers, including solution design and development, implementation of business management solutions, security solutions, communication and infrastructure solutions on a variety of technologies and platforms.
