  • Challenges

Design and implementation of  the integrated  information system that pilots the logistics of the international distribution of Dacia vehicles.

As the number of cars produced increased, Dacia needed to speed up the process of delivery in every aspect.

Development and implementation of an application in conformity with all Renault standards with the possibility  to  implement it in Renault plants all over the world.

Suggestively called Distridac, the system is a world wide first for Dacia Renault plants just as it is for the entire automotive industry in Romania.

  • Objectives

The flow of information among four different units of  Renault in order to interact and exchange information in real time: the logistics department handling the vehicles, distribution, commercial, financial and quality control units.

Critical data exchange with partner transport companies is provided.

  • Solution

The system allows an effective administration of the physical flow of vehicles within the factory, the expedition scheduling and invoicing, the payment management of relevant taxes for new automobiles, as well as the legal aspects of all operations.

Distridac supervises the new vehicle from the moment it leaves the production line to the moment  the distribution responsible takes it into custody.

  • Benefits & Results
The users manage and follow the entire fabrication and distribution flow of a car since the order from the client has been launched up to the moment the car reaches the client as a final sale product.

Hundreds of users, importance level: critical

Time of functionality 24/24, 7/7

Due to this application thousands of vehicles are directly  monitored.
Every hour hundreds of documents are generated and printed (invoices and other specific documents for the implemented flows).
