National Voice over Frame Relay System - Hidroelectrica SA

Creation of a modern, efficient, functional, measurable and well-documented communication system, according to the most exigent standards.

 

  • Objectives 

Design and implementation of a data-voice-video digital communication system within Hidoelectrica Headquarters and its subunits in Romania that would perfectly integrate Hidroelectrica`s existing communication system.


  • Solution

The proposed solution consists in a data-voice-video digital communication system among the headquarter and 15 regional centres. Wireless Communication System is "Voice over Frame Relay": Simultaneously Data, Voice and Video  Conference.

 

The implemented solution has a hardware infrastructure based on CISCO and SUN equipment and includes communication services and video conference solution.


The Infrastructure solution, commissioned on a “turn-key” basis included the following services: project management, user training for the system administration, technical assistance, implementation technical support and post-implementation maintainance.

  • Benefits & Results
At the moment, the communication network is successfully operated by all Hidroelectrica`s operational units.

Romsys was the Single Contractor for this project.

For the successful implementation of this project, Romsys received The Excellency Award for the VoFR technological premiere within ROCS 2002 event.
